Ankit Trivedi

Ankit Trivedi was born to Amarish Kumar Trivedi and Jayshri Trivedi in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He attended his school in Ahmedabad and graduated from Gujarat University with a bachelor’s degree in commerce. On December 12, 2010, Ankit got married to Bhumika Trivedi, and have a cute daughter Mitra.

Ankit’s attraction towards literature

Ankit started reading novels while he was in school, especially during his 12th-grade summer vacation. He enjoyed reading, and eventually, he developed the habit of reading every day. He was drawn to poetry. Later on, he began writing verses in Gujarati. He enjoyed writing and shared his diaries with his pals. He received positive feedback for his writing, which gave him greater courage to create more. He started penning poetry and thought about publishing them. This is how his literary career began, despite having no family members who are into writing.

Ankit’s journey towards literature

He has spent nearly two and a half decades working in the literary industry. He has written 51 books during his literary journey, including “Likhitang Radha” in which he discussed Shree Radha’s life, her marriage, and her passing.  He created the “Krushna Purvak” series during the pandemic and published it on YouTube, where it had a positive impact on many lives. Later, he had a book on the same subject published. His writing accomplishments include the anthology book “Gazalpurvak” (Collection of Gazals), “Maitrivishwas,” a collection of his essays, and “Geetpurvak,” which is a collection of geets. He is currently working on his upcoming project, which is to simplify The Geeta so that children can easily understand it.

He wrote the scripts for the Gujarati films “Pappa Tamne Nahi Samjay” and “Carry on Keshar“. He worked as a columnist for “Divya Bhashkar” for almost ten years, contributing two columns on a daily basis.  He has written six plays for the stage, a 250-episode television series, and nine audio albums.

Ankit’s dedication towards Gujarati literature, music and culture

He began organizing events in 2001 and is still doing so successfully now. He has been part of about 7000 shows worldwide in the last 22 years. He was considering taking Gujarati literature to the next level, and he considered organizing a single event in which he could create a platform for Gujarati literature and creation to reach a larger audience rather than limiting it to a small theatre or hall.

In 2016, he founded ‘Swarotsav,’ a global cultural platform that has gained international acclaim. Swarotsav Foundation has been leading the Swarotsav event for the past six years, effectively maintaining Gujarati literature and culture through its distinct concept and representation. Swarotsav Foundation brings together those who have earned a name for themselves in the disciplines of Folk culture, literature, and music.

His success charm, ideologies, and experiences

Throughout his journey, he never imagined himself working in such a profession to live a luxurious life. He believes in working for inner fulfillment. He does not believe in chasing after monetary goals in life. He believes that being consistent and hardworking would earn you money and fame one day. There is no shortcut to overnight success. He believes in staying updated, focusing on self-improvement, and adapting to changes.

When he reads good literature, he is struck by two thoughts. One is, why didn’t I write this and why hasn’t it reached the masses? For future generations, he feels that if someone complains that today’s kids spend too much time on gadgets. So, he recommends that you spend more time with kids and leave your social media, gadgets, and be an example for them as a book reader. You should devote time to sports, literature, music, and culture, and your child will notice and emulate you.

If a child approaches you and asks for any information, you should be able to say it and stay updated in order to be a good support for future generations. He always feels that while the digital era has changed the version, literature, and root composition remain significant. He went on to say that many people still read printed newspapers on a regular basis in this digital age and that many people watch or read the Ramayana and Mahabharata on digital media, but it’s an updated version of what was written previously.

Ankit’s support and inspiration

Shri Zaverchand Meghani‘s comment “Whatever songs and compositions we listen to on the radio were originally written by literature field artists, so they should also get recognition” has impressed him much.  He always carries that inspiration with him and tries to work in such a way that the next generation finds the literary area appealing, even in commercial terms. Throughout his journey, he learned a lot from his experiences, friends, and coworkers. Many people assisted and supported him along the way, but he would like to single out one special name as a supporter and inspiration- the legendary writer Shri Suresh Dalal.

His future plans

Ankit went on to say that his future will be the future of his language. He believes in working for improvement rather than attempting to identify flaws. By organizing some events on literature, he hopes to give his readers and viewers a better tomorrow in society and to work towards suicide prevention and stress-free life. He wishes to devote more time to Gujarati literature.

His recognition and accolades

He is the only Gujarati poet with over 100,000 YouTube subscribers, and his Instagram Reels and Facebook videos are watched by more than 2 million Gujaratis every day. Trivedi’s book ‘Kavitapurvak’ was launched in the third edition of Swarotsav by Oscar winner Padma Bhushan Shri Gulzar.
