Dr. Nidhi Patel

Dr. Nidhi Patel, a young girl who lived in her own world, born on 18th May 1992 in Rajkot, one of the fastest growing cities of Gujarat. She is the blessed daughter of Mr. Himmat Bhai Patel and Mrs. Amitaben Patel. By profession, Her father is a simple man with a successful business in the construction world, while mother is a Homemaker. Her father into construction business and mother is homemaker.

In her early years, She had no idea about the real life lived by real Indians. She was shy girl, living in her own dream world, sheltered by her parents, The reality of life dawned upon her in the later years of her life, when she realized the struggles of  women and the sheer magnitude of gender bias in India.

“If we decide, we can change the pitiable situation of Indian society. we have to take-up responsibility and show our commitment.”

Eventually, She decided to pursue physiotherapy, She completed her graduation in physiotherapy from S.P.B. Physiotherapy College. “At present, She is the founder of “Physiofirst” clinic in Surat. She has also been a frontline worker in the fight against COVID-19.

Her soft winged world

Being the first child of her family, She enjoyed her childhood with lots of undivided blessings. She still fondly remembers her childhood. She boarded her first flight when she was 8 years old and got impressed by the air hostess  lifestyle. She fell in love with this profession and, decided to become an air hostess. With that ambition, She also started thinking about travelling the whole world as a solo woman. But when the time came to choose a career after 12th, then she decided to jump into physiotherapy field in view of the circumstances around her.

Pillar of Strength

Nidhi believes that her family has always been her strength. Her parents encouraged her to overcome her fears. They were the gentle nudge that helped her move forward when she was hesitating. Parents are her role models that she looks up to.

Time to FLY                                                            

In recent years, Physiotherapy gained decent recognition in India. A decade age, people had trouble acknowledging Physiotherapist as doctors.  ignorance was to such an extent that they were referred as “massage walas” and “sisters”. People failing to recognize and respect their efforts was a serious let down to anyone interested in this profession. As cases of stroke increased in India, Physiotherapy as a treatment started receiving a sincere response. The fact that a stroke patient, Who is paralyzed, needs a lot of support and guidance to stand on their own two feet increased the importance of Physiotherapy. It plays a major role in improving mobility, reducing dependency and speeding-up the recovery.

 AWARDS & RECOGNITION

Nidhi’s philanthropic work has been recognized on several platform. She has been a recipient of awards such as 2020 Real Super Woman Award. Further she received recognition and appreciation by Alpha Women Entrepreneur Club and Surat Municipal Corporation, G – Town Magazine, Shrimad Rajchandra College of Physiotherapy, Parul University, and HREA Annual Award.

Her Contributions

She is an active Social Worker, who is also working towards the upliftment of women on creating general awareness, She has been focused on creating awareness over issues considered as taboos in India. Current causes she supports include menstrual hygiene, urinary inconsistency and HIV.

In the past, She held several medical camps and food donation camps. she also volunteers as a – Physiotherapist for Women’s Cricket Team in rural area.

Empowerment goals for the future

Nidhi finds her philanthropic work enriching. She wants to expand her horizons and touch new subjects such as PCOD. Her dream project is to establish a special centre dedicated only for women healthcare. In her point of view, women are nurturers, A woman is the backbone of her family, so she should take care of herself first, After all diamonds are made under pressure.

Axay invested himself in Artificial Intelligence-based research work for Railway transportation system. The aim of the research work was to automate real-time scheduling, process monitoring, rescheduling, and resource allocation. Axay Upadhyay achieved his first milestone when he obtained patent and copyrights for the same. Not limiting himself to this he worked further to identify bugs for IT Giant LinkedIn, RedBus and many such renowned organisations. He received ample media attention for the same.
