Our planet, the most beautiful and blessed with a bounty like no other, we know of! It’s our moral duty to conserve and preserve this gift and ensure we hand it over to generation next in a better form rather than the reverse.

People like Prerna Prasad are those who lead from the front. Prerna , originally from Bhopal, studied in Delhi and worked in multiple places, has her focus in place – Eco and Travel that equals Ecotravel.

Her parents Raj Kishore Prasad and Jyotsna Singh are based in Bhopal . Prerna pursued her MA in Political Science from Hindu College , Delhi University and thereafter Journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication .

Prerna’s career started as a journalist with CNN-IBN and then she moved on to Headlines today. She has also authored a book ‘Love@politics’ , a non-fiction novel based on a true love story of two activists.

Subsequently she got an amazing opportunity to work with a French photo journalist Johann Rousselot on a photo book based on NCR Delhi. During the course of working on this book project she got the opportunity to travel extensively and developed a liking for travel and the industry. She always had a passion for Environment Conservation. It blended well for her, and it made sense to merge both her interests and the birth of Ecoplore happened.

Being in the field , gave her umpteen instances to understand ground realities. Social Services came naturally and she volunteered to be part of Kiran Bedi’s NGO Navjyoti India Foundation in the year 2010-11. Corruption is a disease that needs to be eradicated from the roots. In a vast country like ours, the need of the hour is to have the younger generation actively involved in uprooting it. Prerna was an active volunteer in the anti-corruption movement led by Anna Hazare and was associated with the Aam Aadmi Party till 2015.

Ecoplore.com founded by Prerna is a concept that will appeal to many. Travel and eco-friendly mind-set are the culture of the present day. A combination of the two is a winner always. Ecoplore as the word itself implies are for people who are open to go for an eco-friendly holidays to places that are close to nature. Her vision for Vision Ecoplore is to get it successful and a sustainable profit making platform – not just in the balance sheet but to make people aware about living a sustainable lifestyle. Ecoplore intends to use profits for ‘Rewilding’ which is about buying land and giving it back to nature in a fruitful way

Her passion for the eco-system has given her the courage to be vocal on issues and government policies that go against the environment. Cutting of trees in Delhi for redevelopment projects and shooting Avni the Tiger at Maharashta’s Yavatmas forest to name a few.

Awards come and go; they are no bench mark for success. However getting awarded gives you exposure to pursue your passion and the world eventually takes a closer look at your work. Some of the awards Prerna has received are from WEE ( a joint initiative by IIT, Niti Ayog and Dept of Science and technology). A Gold Award from Outlook Responsible Tourism for the Best Earth Friendly Stay category. Prerna received a fellowship from Silicon Valley based investor Dr. Alicia Castillo Holley. Chosen for the National finals by Climate Launchpad 2019 , a Gold Medalist in Political Science and the coveted WOW award from CNN-IBN besides being featured in the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) are few of the accolades she has proudly won.

Axay invested himself in Artificial Intelligence-based research work for Railway transportation system. The aim of the research work was to automate real-time scheduling, process monitoring, rescheduling, and resource allocation. Axay Upadhyay achieved his first milestone when he obtained patent and copyrights for the same.
