Without struggle there is no progress“. Everyone has heard of this timeless piece of wisdom but few have only achieved it. Indian television actress, Parul Chaudhary is one of them. Her journey and the struggles she had to endure to become a star in the Entertainment industry are very aspiring and inspirational. Her motto in life is to never give up as nothing is easy in life and there is a struggle everywhere. She had never given up despite all struggle, so don’t give up on your dreams. By nature, she is independent, modest, strong-willed, hardworking, and is a strong believer in learning from mistakes and keep trying again.

Born and Brought up

Parul Chaudhary was born on 5 February in Ghaziabad but brought up in Mumbai. Her father Rajpal Singh is a retired engineer and now yoga teacher. Her mother Renu Singh is a multi-talented housewife had adorned many caps – from running her salon to interior design, costume design, writing and painting. She did schooling initially from Ingraham Institute Ghaziabad and then moved to St. Xavier’s school in Mumbai. She went to Indian language school in Nigeria when her family briefly shifted to Nigeria, Africa for about 2 years. After returning to Delhi, she went for a hotel management course in Manipal, from the Welcome group of Hotel Management. Then she started modeling, and they shifted to Mumbai again, so that she could pursue her career in modeling and acting.

Moving on the Journey

She initially did her portfolio in Delhi with a famous photographer Suvo Das. After reaching out to a list of agencies and coordinators, she got her first screen shoot for Dabur as her first work in about two days. After that, she appeared in shows such as Tere Mere Sapne (TV series on Star Plus), Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani on Zee TV, Piyaa Albela on Zee TV, Divya Drishti on Star Plus, and Kasautii Zindagii Kay (2018 TV series on Star Plus).

In “Tere Mere Sapne” Kamya Oberoi was her first major role where she played the antagonist. She joined “Tere mere Sapne” for 3 months Cameo but it turned out one and half year long-running Character. This got her lot of popularity and fame.”Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani” was a period show, where she played an Evil Rani named “Kokila”, which was something challenging, and people loved her character. In “Piya Albela” of Rajshri Productions, she played a grey and strong character called Neelima Vyas. She has a huge fan following still with “Piya Albela”. And in “Divya Drishti” she played a comic and evil character Ashlesha “Ash” Shergill.

She has support from many directors and producers in the industry for whom she has worked for a long time. Additionally, she has also had the opportunity to work for great production houses like Rajshri Productions and Sphere Origins for several shows. She also has great support from her family, and they are very proud of her achievements in the Entertainment industry on her own completely.

She looks up to many people as role models and inspiration in acting especially those who have struggled a lot and reached where they want to be like Shabana Azmi, Smita Patil, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Irfan khan, Rajkumar Rao, Shilpa Shetty, etc

Struggles and Hindrances

She faced several challenges initially when switching from modeling to acting. As she was new to acting, she had no knowledge of the camera or close-ups and felt very out of place near other actors. But she worked hard and tried her best and managed pretty well. As thousands of people come to Mumbai every day and aspire to become an actor, she would rush from one audition to another to get a place in this field in her initial struggling days. Today she has a deep sense of gratitude and appreciates this struggle because she has achieved a lot in the 12 years in the entertainment industry due to that struggle and hard work.

She is very fond of painting, listening to music, and watching movies. She loves traveling. Not only that, but she loves everything related to wildlife, so she loves reading about wildlife and watching documentaries on wildlife.

She has recently received the “Dadasaheb Falke Award” for style Icon in 2020. Not only that, but she had been nominated a couple of times for awards for negative roles. Furthermore, she has also been nominated for the fit actor award, for she is trying to be fit. Parul was part of “Gladrags Mega Model” she was runners-up in that pageant. Parul has proudly represented India at the Ms. Tourism International at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where she was a finalist and also bagged two sub-titles. Even after receiving so many accolades, she feels the love of her fans is her biggest award. She has a huge fan following, showering love and respect for her, which is very important for her.

What’s in the future?

She plans to continue to be a part of the industry in the future. She wants to do strong roles, on TV, Web series, and offbeat movies with her favorite actors.
