Bosky Chavda

Born and brought up in Mumbai, a middle class family with educated parents who ensured their daughters were equipped with the tool of good education. Both parents, graduates understood its value and having a good degree is what stands by you in life through good and bad.

Bosky’s father was in Airforce and mother a homemaker. She has an elder sibling Urvi Sanghvi who has done post graduation in Company Secretary, Mcom. Bosky was good at academics and she, like most children wanted to do something for her parents and upgrade their life in every way especially when her father retires. The feeling of not having a son should never be felt. Bosky was good with numbers and she decided to pursue Chartered Accountancy, which is considered a tough course to complete. She had the will and wanted to clear it in the first attempt, which is indeed was not an easy task. Her determination became her motivation, for a better life for her family.

After clearing her 12th board exams, Bosky enrolled into the Charter Accountancy course and intended to do it along with graduation. Besides studies, Bosky had a love for music. Her father, a passionate music lover was known to play eight instruments without any formal training. Rightly put music was in her DNA . Not to supress her passion her parents enrolled her into a Dancing and Singing class.

Struggle and challenges – life’s journey

Since Bosky had made up her mind, she would clear CA in the first attempt and the challenges that she faced were handled by her in her own way. Living spaces in Mumbai are small and expensive. The family lived in a one room kitchen. Library slots had a long queue to get a seat. Doing CA along with graduation is a huge challenge, besides Bosky had to attend tuitions, music class along with article ship and regular college. She had to embrace long days ( 5am to 10pm) . Bosky believed in herself and her abilities and was sure no effort ever goes.

Crossroad – path to choose

Life many times takes you at cross where you have to choose which road to opt for. Bosky got an opportunity to audition for a reality show “Indian Idol” and was selected to the final round before the TV round. A condition for the same was, she had to stay in a hostel for three months and as luck would have it, her CA final exams we also due. Here she was at a cross road where she had to choose between the singing career opportunity or pursue her CA course. She followed her mind and chose to opt out of the singing race and wrote her CA exams scoring very good grades. Bosky’s positive attitude and focus with hard work fulfilled her dream at clearing the CA exams at first attempt. She got a job opening at a French IT company where she worked as a Business Controller for five years. She became financially independent and gifted a Car to her parents as well as a 2 bhk flat.

Bosky is married to Mr. Swapnil Chavda, who is also a Chartered Accountant and they have a four year old child. After her stint with the French company Bosky joined her husband in business and did very well. They expanded their branches from a single branch to five branches and diversified to Ecommerce as well. Today they have around 50 employees working for them. With god’s blessing she today lives in a plush 7bhk bungalow in Ahmedabad in posh area. Along this journey she did not leave music to rust. She has been associated with music and so she today is doing concerts as a singer with her talented musicians and best of Friends Shweta Shah and Neil Bhatt and is glad she is pursuing her passion even today.

Giving back to society by being part of NGOs and contributing in every way she can is a cause she feels strongly and personally for.

Support – the backbone

Bosky is blessed with a family and friends that supports her and stands by her in her interests and work.Also the book “THE SECRET” by Rhonda Byrne changed her life. The book emphasises on the law of attraction theory which has worked for Bosky through her life’s journey.

Awards and appreciation

She considers her best award as the “MISSION IMPOSSIBLE” Award which was given by her company for handling the most difficult loss making project and winning over it. An achievement that truly needs applause and appreciation.

Future – Horizon never ends

Her two passions – Work and Music is always on the horizon for the future. Expanding their business and working towards taking big leaps in singing. She endeavours to make her child a good responsible citizen who makes a difference with his work and thoughts. Being part of good work with NGOs is also on her future agenda.

Philosophy and message

A belief and philosophy which Bosky has worked around to be successful is to dream big and be focussed, believe in ones abilities and have a positive attitude. She advocates these to every young person who intends to march towards a successful life. Her message to anyone who wants to pursue their passion in any field is just go for your dreams and never be afraid of a fall or failures. Failures are nothing but an opportunity to begin again, but more intelligently. In the race of life a few falls are immaterial. Get up dust yourself and join the race again. Be grateful for the life you have and opportunities given to you. A positive attitude can take you a long way and when your mind says you can – you will!

Axay invested himself in Artificial Intelligence-based research work for Railway transportation system. The aim of the research work was to automate real-time scheduling, process monitoring, rescheduling, and resource allocation. Axay Upadhyay achieved his first milestone when he obtained patent and copyrights for the same.
